Initially developed to address dry cracked skin issues in people with diabetes, we conducted in-depth research to understand what is missing in compromised diabetic skin. We learned that it is deficient in a number of key components such as skin lipids, natural moisturizing factors, and other barrier minerals and nutrients. From this research, we understood that, to restore the health of the skin barrier, we needed to develop a comprehensive composition that would replenish everything that is missing. Our composition includes the full spectrum of essential lipids and moisturizers found in the skin barrier, providing it what it needs to repair itself.
The composition of our cream mimics the composition of our skin with bio-identical ingredients that are essential to its health such as urea, fatty acids, ceramides, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. Our skin can more easily integrate and metabolize skin-compatible ingredients, supporting absorption without disruption.
To heal well, our skin requires energy, particularly when it is already inflamed from a crack or a bacterial infection as is often the case with diabetic skin. We boosted our formula with select plant oils rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and other nutrients to create the optimal conditions for faster relief.
From the start, we have focused on safe, clean and effective ingredients. Our cream is formulated without fragrance, dyes, parabens, and steroids. It is cruelty-free and is made in the United States at an FDA registered manufacturing facility. To maximize safety in diabetic skin, we excluded exfoliating ingredients contraindicated for diabetic skin such as salicylic acid, which can abrade the skin and cause a dangerous wound that can lead to an infection.
